Rhode Island has a rich history of distance running, and is fortunate to be able to celebrate that history with this beautiful, seaside course along Narragansett Bay & Bristol Harbor. Participants will be rewarded with ocean views and a fast, flat course in the beautiful, patriotic community of Bristol.

Packet pickup will be available on race-morning, right near race parking and the starting/finish line.
*Pre-registered minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. The parent/guardian must sign a waiver on behalf of the minor at packet pickup.
We’ll award our top 3 overall finishers in both the men’s & women’s races. We’ll award the top 3 finishers in each of the following age divisions in both the men’s & women’s races: 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+. All finishers within the 3.5 hour course cutoff will be given a finisher’s medallion.

The Colt State Park Half Marathon has a strict capacity of 400 runners so that we may maintain our minimal impact on this beautiful Rhode Island State Park. Please register EARLY if you plan on joining us in November.
Shoreline, salt-air and non-stop views of Narragansett Bay and Bristol Harbor. This 2-loop course is true Rhode Island coastline.
You’ll begin near the Colt State Park Headquarters, running straight out towards and down Surprise Hill towards the water.. You’ll weave through the park’s beautiful walking paths, along Narragansett Bay and Mill Gut, and then out towards the park’s main entrance. The course then joins the East Bay Bike Path, and around Mill Pond and Bristol Harbor, towards Independence Park in downtown Bristol. Just before Independence Park you’ll turn around and run along Poppasquash Road and into the Coggeshall Farm Road entrance of Colt State Park, to begin your second loop.
Please note that there is a 3.5 hour limit on this course. Runners should only register if they know they can finish within the 3.5 hour course window.
Aid Stations
Runners will have access to aid on this course at 3 different aid stations, making for 6 stops throughout the double-loop course. The Aid Stations, as well as their rough mile marks, are as follows:
Mile 1.5 – Stone Bridge Aid Station – Water Only
Mile 3.25 – Harborview Avenue Aid Station – Water, Gatorade and Energy Gel
Mile 5.0 – Poppasquash Road Aid Station – Water Only
Mile 7.75 – Stone Bridge Aid Station – Water Only
Mile 9.5 – Harborview Avenue Aid Station – Water, Gatorade and Energy Gel
Mile 11.25 – Poppasquash Road Aid Station – Water Only
